As an itinerant teacher…
I have had the opportunity to work with teachers and administrators of community preschools. Each school has its own philosophy and manner of educational delivery that supports their community of learners. In my experience, I have found teachers eager to support their students, but lacking the appropriate training in developmental practices and strategies to meet the developmental and behavioral needs of their students. I would be honored to support your teaching staff through such topics as: embedding developmental skills practice in the classroom, supporting students with developmental delays, how to collaborate with colleagues to save time and to generate new ideas, working with students with IEP’s and how to support students who are challenged with emotional regulation and behavior. Services available include professional training, observations with follow up feedback and direct consulting on strategies to support your little learners and professional staff.
